E-Biking through Wilderness is definitely one for the bucket list. \u00a0Having not ridden a bike for a number of years and not being exercise fit either, with trepidation we headed to Side Street Adventures in Wilderness Village.<\/p>

We were greeted by Richard Hetem, our Storytelling Guide who ensured our safety and orientation until we were comfortable using the gears and pedalling before heading out on our adventure, learning about the tales and characters who shaped the Wilderness area.<\/p>

As E-Biking novices who were unsure about how far we could go, Richard went out of his way to give us a personalised tour which we called, the MMN Tour which meant a gentle gradient, small hills and a short distance on gravel. \u00a0<\/p>

Our MMN Tour took us along the lagoon, all the way to the start of the Kingfisher Trail, where we parked our bicycles, hiking a short distance through reeds to a water sluice. \u00a0This is the only one in Wilderness built by Grant Owen and used only once for the purpose of rowing his boat on water between the Serpentine River and Touws River. \u00a0<\/p>

The birdlife in this area is phenomenal and we were glad to see a Fish Eagle gliding above us as well as two herons gracefully striding in the reeds.<\/p>

Our 14 kilometres cycle was an easy ride. \u00a0We are looking forward to our next E-Biking adventure up to the Map of Africa. \u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
